About the Webmaster Archives
Webmaster Archives is not about technical development issues, like how to write a tell a friend form - though I have some very useful free scripts written by myself and others available to subscriber's in the resources area. This website is about practical methods to succeeding on the web. Technical web design issues, such as HTML tutorials or help learning how to code proper PHP/MySQL are covered extensively on plenty of other websites. The resource directory available to subscribers contains links to the best sites on the web pertaining to learning and coding HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, etc. I suggest checking there if that's what you came here to learn.
The articles available on this website will give you a solid knowledge of successful web development methods, and more importantly how to put those methods into practice. Most web development sites give you a vague suggestion and expect you to fill in the blanks, or they address the advanced topics that deal with issues large websites encounter, without laying down the groundwork of how to become a large website. The materials here are presented in a 'plain english' style that will allow anyone with an elementary knowledge of web development terminology and basic HTML to follow along. This site uses specific examples of what works when building a website from the ground up. If you sometimes get confused by web development terminology, I'd suggest starting with the introduction to web development.
The best thanks you can give me is to recommend this website to your fellow web developers, whether it be by email, word of mouth, or a link from your own website. If this place has helped you, I would really appreciate the recommendation!
